We're Back!

O.K! I have been out of the blogging world for a while now and I have always wanted to come back to it but I never find the time to blog. For all those bloggers who are crazy busy with work, school, kids, husbands/boyfriends/significant others etc. etc., I give you props for keeping up with your blogs. But I am going to try to be consistent and put some time and effort into this.

Anyways, while I've been gone, quite a few things has happened this summer. Where do I start? --
Well, first I would like to mention that our newest babygirl Mckenzie is 4 months old! Can you believe it?!? 4 MONTHS OLD! She is growing up way too fast for our liking. She is smiling a lot more, TALKING like you wouldn't believe and is trying to roll over (one of these days it'll happen). She is growing like a monster. Seriously! She is already wearing most of her 6 month outfits and some of her 12 month outfits. A lot of her 3 month outfits are all packed up and in bags. Not gonna lie, while I was packing her 3 month sleepers and onesies, I got a little upset that my baby will no longer be a baby. I still can't believe Sadie will be 3 in 2 months. *tear* I think I can wait for them to be in their teens haha. If they're anything like me, I could wait a life time for them to get into their teens. Did I also mention that Mckenzie sleeps alllllll thruuuuu the night? Amazing, right?! She is the best sleeper since... well... me! haha. But really, she sleeps from 8:30 - 9 p.m. until 8:30 - 9 a.m. I love it and can't complain. Unfortunately, even with her sleeping all night, I'm still usually tired all the time. I just never get enough sleep it seems. Ugh!

Now Sadie. Oh boy. This girl has a ton of attitude and is such a little drama queen. I wonder where she gets her attitude from ( it can't be me.... ). She's in the phase of copying everyone. Whether it be what you say or what you do. The other day my mom was over and asked me to make Kenzie a bottle of milk. Sadie then grabbed her baby and asked me to make her baby a bottle of milk. It's pretty funny when she copies one of us with what we say because most of the words she can't pronounce and it just comes out all jumbled. We just have to watch what we say now. More so daddy needs to watch what he says. Sadie is also very into the princess thing. I have an old tiara from one of the pageants I was in and she wears it all the time. She also loves to dance like how the princesses dance in their movies. This long pooh bear doll that is about a foot shorter than she is is her "prince" and she dances with him and carries him everywhere in the house. She loves to dance and I get so excited thinking of her being in dance class next fall. Right now I am in the process of potty training her. Yes, potty training! She still doesn't like to tell us when she has gone or if she needs to go and we don't know why. You think it'd be uncomfortable for her. I'm just trying to be really patient and wait till she's ready. I just hope that she is potty trained soon. Like by the end of this year soon. Wish me luck!

We spent two weeks in Newfoundland this summer and did some painting around the house. Talking about Newfoundland will probably be in another post tho. But we had a great time. Even with the cold weather.

Till next time, here are some pictures of us and the girls.

Grandma's girls

Things have gotten a little crazy busy with having two little girls and I really miss my hanging out with my mom and her help (she is such an amazing helper, I really don't know where i'd be if I didn't have her around). But she's gotten so busy with work, we barely get to see her anymore. I'm so grateful for the time she makes for me and the girls - especially the girls. Sadie gets so excited hearing her voice and seeing her. She is so close with her grandma that I only hope MC is like that as well... with both their grandma and nan.

Sisterly Love

Growing up, i've always wanted a little sister. I have two brothers and when it came down to it, I was always the one that was picked on. Sometimes it would be me and my older brother picking on our younger brother... but most of the time it would be me who was the victim. As much as I love my brothers, I'm sure having a sister would have been a ton of fun. But oh well, I was stuck being the only girl.

I'm actually happy with the outcome of having two girls. Something i've always wanted and now I'm able to give Sadie and Kenzie that experience of having a sister. Sadie has been such an awesome big sister. She always wants to hold her saying, "hugs hugs hugs" (that's her way of saying "I want to hold Kenzie"). And it melts my heart when I see her trying to comfort Mckenzie. When Mckenzie is crying, she'll ask me for her soother so she can put it in Mckenzie's mouth. And if that doesn't work, she'll pat Mckenzie saying "it's ok".

Mornings are the funniest. Mckenzie and I will be sitting on the couch (sometimes with Mike with us as well), and when Sadie wakes up, she'll come downstairs and walk towards us pointing at Mckenzie and say, "mommy, who's that?". I'll say, "it's Mckenzie." her response will be "right, Kenzie.... awwwe cuuuuute" lol Mike and I laugh everytime she does it.

I was so worried about how Sadie would act not being the baby in the house anymore but she has honestly been great. She has her days where she isn't pleasant to be with, but she's only young - she's slowly understanding.

I love my girls so much and i'm so thankful to have them in my life. I am excited to see them grow.

Mckenzie Angela Donahue

It's been a while since my last post... but she's here!

Mckenzie Angela Donahue is her name and she was born May 21st, 2011 at 10:34 a.m. Weighing at 8 lbs 1 oz and measuring 20 inches long.

1 Month later, she is doing great! She is more attentive now, always looking at everything around her. I love her so much, I've forgotten how small babies are. I'm excited to watch her grow.

Follow - up.

So last week I had an ultrasound just to see how baby was doing and my body as well. I've been in so much pain lately and as much as I love being pregnant - i'm looking forward to not going thru this pain anymore. Today was my follow up appt. and i'm glad that everything is fine and Mckenzie is doing great. So my maternity clinic that I go to is on the second floor in Superstore and Sadie absolutely loves when I have my doctors appointments just so she can look down onto the first floor. She could stand there for hours and just talk her baby talk pointing at all the things she can see. When we got home there was a jack rabbit hopping around in our backyard. Sadie got so excited and kept saying "bunny bunny" and whenever it hopped Sadie would come closer to me. Thinking about it, this is the first time Sadie's seen a rabbit in real life. She kept saying "hi bunny" and when the bunny hopped off, she'd say "bye bye bunny"... "oh no, where did bunny go?"

satisfied.

I've been craving for vietnamese food for the longest time and so for date night, Mike and I went to this vietnamese restaurant. We didn't know that they close early, so we ordered out and Mike had his first experience with vietnamese food (well he said he had a sub from some other vietnamese restaurant but it was just a normal sub). While we waited, I ordered bubble tea for us cause he's never heard of it before and he liked it! Didn't even mind the bubbles at all.

Sadie 24/7

So since i'm not working and just waiting for baby Mckenzie to come out, all my time is spent with Sadie and I LOVE it! She's definitely in her "terrible twos" phase (and i heard 3 is worse, just great :P) - a lot of attitude, a lot of talking back in baby talk and everything else you can imagine. Attitude or not, she still brightens up my day.

I'm trying to spend as much time with her as I can before Mckenzie comes because I know that all my attention won't be on her anymore, which kind of worries me.But Mike always reassures me that Sadie will learn to understand and that he's sure, every parent that brings home a second or third child goes thru the same thing.

What's new with Sadie?
- she knows how to count up to 13 - she can count up to 10 in spanish
- she's learning a lot of new spanish words, all thanks to Dora and Diego... who know kids actually learn from these shows.
- when she meets someone new she says "hi, my name is Sadie" then point at me and say "and this is mommy, say hi mommy" haha
- she is now sleeping thru the whole night! no more 3 am wake ups asking for milk. i'm so happy!

P.S - 7 weeks till the big day, will she come on time or not? that's the question.
