Halloween with Rapunzel and Tinkerbell

Painting and pumpkin carving the Sunday before Halloween. And this year was Mckenzie's first time trick-or-treating. Took the girls over to Chinook Mall and they had a blast! At first Mckenzie would give a weird look on the people's faces when they dropped candy in her little pail. But she got the hang of it after a couple stores. This year, my friend/neighbor and her adorable little guy came with. It's a lot more fun having another adult with ya that's for sure. And her little guy was so patient with the girls. Mckenzie did take forever going in and out of the stores but he was so quiet and laid back. Nothing bothered him.

Halloween night was a chilly one. With the snow already on the ground and weather being below 0, we dressed the girls up in layers, their winter jackets, toques and mitts. Mckenzie was such a trooper. We had only planned to take her to all of our neighbors houses but instead we did that and more. After about the 10th house, her eyes were watering and cheeks rosy red so we decided to call it quits for her. She definitely didn't like that idea. Every time we had trick-or-treaters, she would try to make a run for it outside and tag a long with the others. It definitely gets tiring being 38 weeks pregnant and chasing an 18 month old 5 or 6 times. Sadie went to a few more houses down the street. She went to a house with an elderly lady living in it and she didn't have candy to give her, so she gave Sadie money instead. After that, Sadie was pretty much done haha. She didn't want to hold her bag anymore cause she had to keep her money safe (after all, that's what the lady told her). All in all, it was a good Halloween for the girls.
